The Women’s Economic Resource Center will host a financing roundtable presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration Monday May 5, 2008 beginning at 5:30 pm at the Tuscan Grille.

If you are thinking of applying for a small business loan, this roundtable will be of interest to you. This financing roundtable is conducted by the SBA Preferred Lender National City and an SBA representative.  During the session, we will debunk the myths and demystify the process of small business financing. You will learn how the SBA Guaranteed Loan program may help you get the financing you need.

 “This session is best suited to those who have good credit, a solid business idea, and some money to invest in their business,” said Cathy Gase, of the SBA.  “We’ve conducted hundreds of these financing roundtables throughout the state over the past 10 years with overwhelming satisfaction.  You really do learn the ins and outs of financing.”

 “We are pleased to be able to bring this opportunity to learn more about business financing right to Manistee,” said Judy Crockett, President of the Women’s Economic Resource Center. “We recently asked our membership to identify their concerns and needs, and business financing was a top issue.”

The roundtable is limited to 15 participants to allow for the most individual attention said Gase. The emphasis on the roundtable is to answer specific questions and concerns of each individual.  SBA conducts over 30 roundtables each year throughout the state. 

The May 5^th session will begin at 5:30 pm with a buffet dinner at the Tuscan Grille on River Street in downtown Manistee. It will run until 9:00p.m.  The cost is $35 and includes dinner, payable to WERC. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
