April 17, 2008  |  SBA to conduct financing roundtable in Manistee

The U.S. Small Business Administration will conduct a financing roundtable at the Women’s Economic Resource Center on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 5:30 pm at the Tuscan Grille.  Joni Purgiel, National City Branch Manager and Women’s Advocate, and Catherine Gase, SBA Women Business Owner Representative for Michigan , will facilitate the roundtable.

“This session is best suited to those who have good credit, a solid business idea, and some money to invest in their business,” said Gase.  “We’ve conducted hundreds of these financing roundtables throughout the state over the past 10 years with overwhelming success.  You really do learn the ins and outs of financing your business.”

“We are pleased to be able to bring this unique opportunity to learn more about business financing to entrepreneurs in Manistee,” said Judy Crockett, President of the Women’s Economic Resource Center . “We recently asked our membership to identify their concerns and needs, and business financing was a top issue.”

The roundtable is limited to 15 participants to allow for individual attention.  The focus of the roundtable will be credit criteria of commercial lenders and the SBA guaranteed loan programs.  Participants will be able to ask specific questions about their own business.   For more information and to pre-register, please visit www.manisteewerc.org.
