It’s
official! The Women’s netWork signed articles of incorporation
and adopted by-laws June 19, 2007, when members met for their
first official board meeting. The new corporation will be known
as the Women’s Economic Resource Center (WERC) and has filed
for 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status.
The
mission of WERC is to actively cultivate and support the
professional development and leadership of women and girls in
Manistee
County
and
the surrounding area. The mission will be accomplished through
programs of WERC, such as the Women’s netWork luncheons, the
Women’s
Empowerment
Giving Circle
,
Women’s Business Support, LUNAFEST, Career Mentoring, and
Personal Finance.
